Platte River Writing Retreat
September 12-14, 2014
Spend the weekend with fellow NeWP teachers at Platte River State Park, located between Lincoln and Omaha on I-80 at 14421 346th St. Louisville, NE 68037. Options for camping and participating are outlined in the attached flier. RSVP to marathon or retreat events to Diana Weis.
To participate, you can join us for the entire weekend. $50 will get you two nights and two days in a beautiful, serene setting where you can relax and recharge. Sit by the campfire, make smores and share stories. Explore the Nebraska wilderness with a notebook in your hand. Enjoy the natural beauty of Platte River State Park while bonding with fellow NeWPers. If you wish, you may make your own reservations at the park here.
If you can’t make it for the weekend, we would love to have you join us on Saturday, September 13th for the Writing Marathon. We will be meeting and greeting at 11:30 and launching the marathon at 12. We usually eat lunch on the dock together and then disperse into writing groups. Feel free to bring your own lunch or buy something at the park concession stand.
You do need to get a park permit to stay in the park. You can buy a $5 daily pass or a $25 for an annual permit.
